Zen and myself left Changi Airport at midnight on Thursday, with a flight to Dubai and then onward to Sao Paulo, Brazil. From Sao Paulo, we took a flight to Lima, Peru 2 days later and we met Christl and Wilson at the Lima airport. All 6 of us are currently together in Lima in our cosy apartment 🙂

Some additional details of Zen and Juliana’s 2 short days in Sao Paulo:
We arrived late Thursday evening. As the largest city in Brazil, Sao Paulo is a bustling metropolitan centre that is the centre of the country’s commerce, finance and the arts. We spent a day walking the different neighbourhoods in Sao Paulo. We visited the famous museums along Avenida Paulista and also took in the city’s amazing street art that can be found all over the city!
The amazing street art found in the Vila Madalena district. Spot Zen in this photo!
We then visited Ibirapuera Park – one of the largest urban parks in South America. Its importance to Sao Paulo is often compared to that of Central Park of New York City and it was a very calming experience from the otherwise very busy and bustling city.
On our second day, we walked around downtown Sao Paulo and went to their Mercado Municipal – a big market where fresh fruits and food can be bought. It was extremely interesting learning about the Brazilian culture from our hosts who were natives to Brazil!
Fruits galore at the mercado!

We then caught our flight to Lima where we will begin participating in COY events! We’ll be updating more with COY and COP news. Ciao ciao! 🙂
