Calling for Singapore YOUth Delegation to UNFCCC @ Lima, PERU

Since 2009 youth non-governmental organisations have been enjoying constituency status, also known as YOUNGO. With the status of YOUNGO, it allows young people with the opportunity to address the plenary, High Level Segment of a COP, make submissions (individual youth organisations also), attend workshops, meet with officials of the Convention and the COP Presidents. They also organise Young and Future Generation’s Day during the COPs featuring a series of side events, exhibits, interviews, media stunts and other activities.

This year, the annual  climate negotiation is happening in Lima, Peru. We are looking for a team of passionate young representatives to form a delegation to represent Singapore youth. You will get the opportunity to not only learn from others, but also meet liked minded young people and get first hands experience to influence policy making at the international arena.

All you have to do is submit two essays, one about 500 words and another 1,00o words, and attend our training workshop sessions.

Training dates will be on 20th and 21st September.

Note: About 50% of funding is provided for each delegation.
