Run for Water

February 25, 2010

At the MEWR NGO Networking Session on Tuesday, the team that went down met with Ms Flaminia Lilli, Advocacy & Communication Manager for Lien Aid, who told us about the work that Lien Aid is doing with regards to water issue in Southeast Asia.

There is a run coming up called “Run for Water” and it is the largest global water initiative in history aimed at HELPing solve  the world water crisis.

Live Earth, organizer of The Dow Live Earth Run for Water chose Marina Bay as the location for the water village and concert for the event on April 18, 2010.  The largest worldwide water initiative on record to help combat the global water crisis, The Dow Live Earth Run for Water will consist of a series of 6 km run/walks (the average distance many women and children walk every day to get water) in countries around the world.  The event will feature concerts and water education activities aimed at igniting a tipping point to help solve the water crisis.
