Food for all

January 10, 2010

I recently spoke to Heather Chi, foodie and digestive director. Heather is a 3rd year Geography major and freelance writer/researcher with a keen interest in the issues of food security, human rights and community research. She is currently director of an anti-hunger initiative, Food for All, as well as a socially-oriented undergraduate research initiative, WeSearch!.

I think food issues are rather obscured in Singapore, despite us being a food hub and all Singaporeans love to eat… no? So why don’t we think about our food? We could all stand to gain by reading what Heather has to say, and to learn more about the anti-hunger initiatives directed by Singaporean youths called Food for all. Do visit the website and join in their cause!

At the same time, for those facebook junkies.. there’s a new Singapore Civil Society Notice Board group via this link here or search for it! Do join and invite your friends so that they are up to date with civil society actions so as to make more informed decisions in their daily lives!
