Just some brief thoughts about the workshop on Carbon Trading, CDM as it is getting late and some of us just arrived in CPH this morning… *jetlagged*
- great introduction to the general idea of how carbon trading works and breaking down of technical jargon!
- interesting explanation of the “pizza pie” of countries who are in/not in “Annex 1″
- discussed advantages and disadvantages of Carbon Trading (refer to the photograph of the whiteboard)

Some acronyms mentioned during the workshop

- PDD = Project Design Documents
- CER = Certified Emissions Reduction, which are legally binding, e.g. applicable for powerhouses
- VER = Voluntary Emission Reduction, e.g. applicable for smaller entities such as shops
- DNA = Designated National Authority
- DOE = Designated Operational Entity, e.g. Veritas
